Greene returns to SC State鈥檚 Institutional Advancement team as associate vice president

ORANGEBURG, S.C. 鈥 51品茶 is proud to announce the return of Kemberly Sistrunk Greene to the Division of Institutional Advancement as associate vice president.

Greene rejoined the team in August, bringing extensive experience in fundraising, development, and donor engagement.

鈥淚 am thrilled to be back in university advancement,鈥 Greene said. 鈥淗aving started my career here and witnessing the tremendous impact we have made, I am honored to now help lead the university鈥檚 development efforts.

鈥淭he work we are doing, especially through campaign, will elevate SC State to new heights, and I am excited to continue contributing to the success of our beloved institution,鈥 she said.

Greene began her career in advancement at SC State before transitioning to leadership roles in the Department of Athletics. She previously served as associate director of athletics for DEI and student development, football sport administrator, and acting deputy director of athletics/chief of staff/senior woman administrator. She played a key role in SC State athletics鈥 first major gift initiative, the R.I.S.E. Campaign, which exceeded its goal of $1.785 million. The initiative provided for a new turf field in Oliver C. Dawson Stadium, athletic scholarships, the Fund for Excellence, track resurfacing, and the establishment of the Champions Club 鈥 a VIP experience for athletic major donors.

In her new role, Greene leads development activities within the Division of Institutional Advancement, with a central focus on SC State鈥檚 first-ever comprehensive capital campaign. She is responsible for overseeing fundraising strategies, donor cultivation, and major gift efforts to support the university鈥檚 mission.

A certified grant writer, Greene has launched key initiatives such as athletic giving societies and enhanced fundraising events. She raised significant funds for athletic initiatives, including the Bulldog Relief Fund and the Celebration Bowl Ring Ceremony.

Greene holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has completed specialized training in grant writing and philanthropy. She is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD), and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Greene cherishes her role as a mother to her three daughters, Jaedyn, Aniyah, and Kaeghan.
